Album Info:A railfan buddy and I took a short trip in Spring 1980 from the Bay Area to Klamath Falls, OR to photograph the OC&E. The next day we worked our way back to Sacramento to attend Winterail, following Southern Pacific's Modoc Line, Western Pacific's 4th Subdivision (aka "High Line"); and WP's mainline through the scenic Feather River Canyon. At the time we were both only 17, high school seniors, and still learning photography. We had planned to go back and shoot more of the OC&E someday -- our initial trip was on a shoestring budget so we had to account for gas, food, and film, which of course we had to conserve -- but alas, a follow-up OC&E trip never materialized. Same with our plans to shoot the Milwaukee Road before it vanished from the West... never did that either. [sigh] Too bad digital cameras weren't around then, otherwise I would have taken LOTS more images. Oh well, I still have the memories....

Title:  WTCX 101, 102 & 105
Description:  Weyerhauser Timber Company's (WTCX) Baldwin switchers (from L to R) #101, 102 and 105 used on the "Woods Logging Line" located east of the Sycan shops. WTCX #101 & 102 were built as Baldwin demonstrators #750 and 751 in May 1950; sold to Weyerhauser in 10/50. WTCX #105 (Baldwin S8) was built in 6/51.
